Stellar intros from the best 10 years in rock history, IMO.

EPIC stuff, thanks!

Very cool!:supercool:

And most of the classic riffs in that montage came from the hands of Jimmy Page, in both the Yardbirds and Led Zeppelin.

I'd add a few other classic opening guitar riffs to that list:

1. The recently-departed Ronnie Montrose's opening riffs to "Rock Candy" and "Bad Motor Scooter". I'm sure that that the "Bad Motor Scooter" riff was an inspiration for Mick Mars' opening riff on Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart".

2. And of course, KISS' opening to "Rock and Roll All Night".

Rock on!!!

Andy- I'm surprised there wasn't a single Santana lick included.

Carlos has some of the most distinctive and recognizable song intros, IMO.

Also missing is Sugarloaf's "Green Eyed Lady" circa 1970. Copyright issues?

There are others, although they covered the bases very well considering

it's only a ten minute time span.

I'm sure there are plenty that were missed. ZZ top, ELP must have had something in that time frame?
