Recon third Brake light

I purchased the recon third brake light from Underdog Performance. Found the project here for installation. Does the plug still have to be removed, splice wirers etc? The guys at Underdog thought it would be a direct hook up with out any modifacations. Any help is appreciated.

Not on the ST, it requires you cutting or splicing....



I used those blue splice crimps and this way i could remove and I did not have to cut off the trucks plugs and just wrapped them in electrical tape..
