re: Bed Extender Locking Clip. UPDATE

Anybody happen to know the part number of the locking Clips for the Bed Extender? One broke today so I am going to have to replace it. Probably do both while I am at it. It is for a Gen1 ('02)

Yes, One on each side. mounts on the extender and holds it on the pivot pin.

Wow! Was I wrong about exactly what had broken.



I got to looking at the spring clip I thought had broken off and realized I didn't actually see any evidence of metal fatigue or of any kind of break. So, I looked more closely at the extender itself and discovered that a piece of molded hard plastic on the end assembly had broken. This molded ledge keeps the clip in place as it is not actually attached anywhere. I checked the other side and that side shows some signs of fatigue at the same place as well but has not yet broken off.



I guess my repair is going to be a little more expensive.



Anybody have any suggestion on course of action? I have a few ideas I am tossing around in the 'ol noggin' but looking for input as well.
