radiator mount rusting

Hi Guys ,



Was driving around and kept hearing a klunk and a bang and then more of them.Looked under the truck found nothing. Started to push down on the driver's side and would hear the clunk. Found that the frame that the radiator mounts to,that holds the radiator had rusted through. Seems that the same thing is happening on the passenger side but has not rusted all the way through as of yet.



:angry:What's the best way to fix this? and has anyone had this problem?



I cannot believe that this has rusted so badly. I have no rust anywhere else on my truck

It is called the radiator support. It is easy enough for a body shop to replace.

That was the main reason I turned in my old '05 after the lease instead of buying it. Three years old and the radiator support had rust on it already. I bought my '08 when the lease was up a few months ago and I will get it rustproofed before winter.
