Hey, guys, I just recently got a SCT upgrade from Torrie, and so far I love it. My question is, Is it really necessary to reinstall the stock program before taking vehicle in for routine maint? I usually have them do my oil changes nowadays because of my health problems, and no proper place to get rid of the old oil, and to make sure that i have a history of proper maint. ,just incase a warranty problem ever arises.:smile0006:

My local Ford dealership has a Quick Lube Center, which is a separate building than the Service Center.

They have done every oil change for me since I got the truck and I have never returned it to stock.

If I take it into the Service Center I always return it to stock, just in case.

If your dealership is set up the same way, then there is really no need.

I doubt they'll reflash your truck for good measure.

If you do not have any codes, or a CEL, do not worry about it, al they will do is the minimum

lube, oil, filter, than just ck stuff.

If worried about it, DIY.

Some dealerships have been known to run the vin and check for tsb and recall and other things... IF the vehicle requires a flash they may just do it...

I would flash it back to stock..
