After 235,000 miles, the OEM steering rack had play and was leaking. Most references I have seen suggest replacing hoses if more than 5 years old. Incremental cost for all new parts is minor compared to the labor for this. I installed a new reservoir also.

Understood about not doing it again, i got to do it twice. Once on each of my trucks. Both at about 125K miles.... Not hard but just annoying... lol
