overhead console upgrade

Hey whats up everyone, i first wanted to thank you all for the great project section on this site, ok now here goes. I finally got around to doing my overhead console upgrade , everything works, just a question, when i first turn the key to the on position the digitals lights on the console are really bright, then go a little dimmer and stay that way, its almost kinda hard to see during the day when they are like that, but when they are bright with the key first turned on they are really easy to see. i wired it so i dont have the dimmer ability , i have it so it is on with they key in the on position. any info would be great.

laying in bed last night i realized what i did, i sent power down the dimming wire to dim the console screen, so today when i get home from work i wil simply remove power from the wire and i should be fine, sorry for issue lol
