#22 is believable too. Circuit City has, I mean, had always given me terrible service. I don't know how they're still in business.

Number 25 was just a big deal here locally a few months back. I have not set foot in CC since.

25. Circuit City has laid off over 4 thousand employees recently to hire cheaper workers. They fired associates who were highly ranked in sales and service, and paid well for that reason.

Purchased: Toshiba $2000 Laptop in Dec, 06 for Christmas present, CircuitCity.com.

Rebate:$150 mail in.

Received rebate in late May 07, after they "misplaced" it and I raised hell. Good thing I kept a full set of copies.

Keep copies, don't buy from Circuit City.

Lesson learned.

My sister got a MD player/recorder from Crooked City. When she opened the box, something wasn't right. Ended up, someone got a new one, put the old one in the box and returned it.

When she went to complain at the store, they called the police on her. She was escorted out of the store.

Called the CC company and the problem was resolved very quickly.

When I walk into the store, I make them a one time offer and if they say no, I leave. I try to avoid Crooked City whenever I can and they actually made it easier than

HH Gregg is great at dealing. I told them I was buying a DVD Camera for my honeymoon. (I wasn't lying) I told him to give me a deal. "How about a free camera bag". That will work. How about $50.00 off the price too?. His response, "How about $30.00?" No problem. Now double that and we have a deal.

I walked out with the camera, the "free" camera bag, $60.00 off, and a 3 pack of double sided mini-DVD's for only $5.00. (Just to clairfy, the $5.00 was not the cost of everything, but the cost of the DVD's to seal a deal that was already sealed)

PC RICHARDS is also the same. You can haggle the prices with the salesperson. It's basically like going to Canal Street China Town and fighting with Uncle Steve's Electronic shops because the price is different if you don't buy now.
