Snapped this picture while off-roading this past weekend...Whoever came up with the rule "Keep all objects, arms, and legs inside the vehicle at all times"???

Looks like fun!

:D Sorry all others, black really seems to be the best color for the ST.............

Do they put car washes out in the "wild" in california or something? You can't get to anywhere where you can drive your car off-road here without going through a couple of HUGE mudholes (which seem to be around even after months of no rain). My yellow track turned a yellowish-reddish-brown with all the clay mud around here last time I went off-roading. It took many hours to clean it up. There was one clean spot where the windshield wipers partially cleaned off the windshield, and a little bit of a clean area on the roof, which was the only part of the truck that hadn't been completely covered by clay mud. There was so much mud that the wheels were filled in, they were like a solid block of clay.

Being out there with friends, in the mud is hella fun...cleaning up afterwards is not.

DUDE!!!!

This is Kollyfornya!! It doesn't rain here from May until the end of October, therefore there is no mud! lol

Instead, I get to buff out the 'branch scratches' down the sides of my rig from being off road.

I suppose that's better than some of the stuff I've seen on the trails. These idiots go out there with their super-nice and new 4-wheel drive trucks. I saw a guy with a full size dodge, which was one of the nicest trucks I'd ever seen. He must have had more work in the lift kit, tires/wheels and paint/body work than he did in the truck itself. He took it down this mud path, which left him VERY little room on either side to get through. The hole was a bit deeper than he thought, it was also slanted heavily to one side (but he couldn't see that since it was pretty much full of water too). So he drove down in there and crash, crunch, smash...the truck slid down into the tree on his drivers side. He got this sick look on his face and realized that there was only ONE way out...KEEP GOING. He ended up busting out the window on the third door behind the drivers door, scratching the hell out of the side of the truck from the drivers' side door all the way back, nearly from top to bottom. He ripped the mirror off on the way through, as well as most of the tail light and the bumper grabbed on the tree as he passed, which bent the bumper nearly straight OUT (facing backward). The tree also managed to put a massive scratch on the rear drivers' side wheel and scrape up the tire pretty badly.

I didn't bother to ask him how much it cost to fix it, but I'd be willing to bet that it was several months' salary (he works at chrysler, building vehicles, so several months' salary is a nice chunk of change).

I almost felt sorry for him, until I realized that he did this all WILLINGLY. haha

Not long after the picture above was taken on the Strawberry Canyon Jeep trail, I came across 'Paint Rock'. I had passed a '70's Blazer earlier, lifted to the sky, 35's, roll cage for doors, etc... The guy was amazed that I was out there on a jeep trail in my stock ST! "You'll never make it past Paint Rock, ESPECIALLY in a stock rig!" he said... He was right! I got to Paint Rock, and I put it up on 3 wheels, with the rear passenger side in the air. The front slid down the tilted rock and met Paint Rock! OUCH... So I turned around.

All in all, the damage was quite minor, only a few scrapes in the paint on the fender. But that's as far as I'm going off road in it as long as it's my 'daily driving work truck'! lol
