a buddy of mine and i were talking the other day about messing with out trucks... he brought up the idea of throwing a nitrous system on the ST...

he took a look and said it would be a perfect candidate for a 50-75shot fogger system...

anyone here have nitrous on their ST???

lol its what i want... i mean, i like to take the trac to friday night "just for fun drags"... but the idea of adding a 75shot is... appealing to me... lol

id like to see the face of someone after the ST just kinda flys by lol

I dont care for nitrous. But if you do it, go with a wet kit so you dont burn a piston or cylinder.

Reaper,

True story. I met up with some friends one evening. One was the 1998 ZX2 with a NX wet kit running 75 HP. A 1995 Escort Gt with an IHI RHB5 turbo running 12 LBS of boost. Finally an 80-something Corvette.

The Vette was following us. I was in the Turbo Escort and Theresa was in the ZX2. We hit it. Both the ZX2 and EGT took off, head to head. The Corvette could not keep up with us. He swore he had it floored and we walked away from that Vette.

lol haha dingo! id race u sure! why not, would be fun to finally be able to race another ST.

id definately go for!

and wow... seriously... did the guy in the vette kno how to drive?? lol gesh!

Wet kit! gotchya! ill look into it guys!

see how bad this will break my balls...

If you need help on adapters and what not, let me know. Mine has been a work in progress for some time now. The last guy, my former tuner, who was helping with the install, kinda went on the wayside. I have had to focus more on school, work, and the g/f, so I haven't had time to get it done. It's almost there...so close...

jeff.... u talking bout u have a kit being installed on ur ST?

and dude! totally understand the school work and g/f thing! time consuming eh?;)

I thought about adding nitrous to mine, but I refuse to use a shark nozzle in the intake. My only other option was a pseudo-stealth system in the charge motion control plate housings, but I'd need to use 8 separate nozzles. The smallest nozzle I could find that would work is 25 lb. That's be a 200-shot. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much.

So I just decided to go with a supercharger instead. :)

This was an 80-something Vette. They were not that fast. A C5 or C6 would have blasted past us like we were in reverse, but this was a weak model Corvette.

A few year later, we took the Turbo Escort to the track. It turned the 1/4 mile in 14.1 seconds with street tires and alot of ping. He was having issues with fuel that day.

I remember buying a brand new 1982 Mustang GT for several reasons. First, it was cheaper than the brand new (for 1982) Camaro. Second, it was faster than the Camaro (WAY faster, as in faster in third, and I still had fourth!) Third, it turns out it was faster than the 1982 Vette! Ok, it was just barely, but it was still faster!

tom,

i will take my 20 year old rare award winning, soon to be top flight judged "weak" C-4 vette anytime.

btw, for 1988, 240 HP and a 14.3 1/4 was not bad for the time.

lol

i wont say much... the corvette of any class is my favorite vehicle of all time!

favorite body style is the shark body and the old c1 vettes

Gary,

When someone says Corvette, the C4 is not what comes to mind. The C5 and C6 Corvette put Chevrolet in the spotlight as a world class car.

It is slower than a turbocharged Escort GT. That, in itself, is funny.

lol

 i dont combine Corvette with Chevrolet!

there is no bowtie anywhere on the vette aside from in the racing flags...:p

corvette in my own opinion is its own...

ppl dont say chevy corvette... they simply say corvette...:D;)
