Navigation System

Looking at a 2010 Adrenelin that has a navigation system. Can these be updated? I thought I had read that these either could not be updated, or were not very good systems. Any thoughts or experiences would really be appreciated. Thanks for you time.

I can still buy updated map disks for my '03 Trac Pioneer nav (latest I have is 2012)....just go online and search updates for your particular system.

Navteq has firmware and map updates. Cost is $199 plus shipping and taxes. Be careful, however, the update disc they sent me failed during the installation and ruined my nav unit ('10 STA). Repair shop could not repair the radio, had to replace. Navteq offered a refund for the update, they said they are not responsible for the radio.
