Given that you computer has the same creds as my older son's, and his is about 3 years old, maybe you can do the same recent upgrade I did on his...a new gfx card.



We were locked into AGP due to the mobo, so we wanted a cheap-ish upgrade to run more of today's games on higher settings. We went with an Nvidia 7800 GS based card, which I didn't find on my favorite etailer, NewEgg, but I did find this...

If you get me the model number or even better the service tag on your Dell I can get you the right drivers for the computer.. If you are using the OEM(Dell) recovery disk you should not have to register the system with MSFT$.
