Missing past 3000 rpm's

Hi all, i have an 04 with 90,000 miles. I drive it and i feel a slight miss in the engine. I put it in park and rev to 3000 no isuues. once it hits over 3000 it start to miss. I have changed the plugs and wires twice along with the fuel filter. Any suggestions?

If you are putting it in park and revving past 3000 rpm then the rev limiter is kicking in and keeping a person from blowing their engine up. :smack:

If its fine going down the road above 3K, there is nothing wrong. As said above, Rev limiter.



And depending on the options, there is also a speed limiter about 90Mph.

cool, but it does miss a little while driving. Rev limiter makes sense but didn't think it would miss that much while reving. Watched a few few vids and it seems to be about the same. Thanks.

Scan for trouble codes. Unless you cleared them, very possible to have DTC's stored in memory WITHOUT a check engine light.
