Locking Spare Tire to vehicle

Just curious, how are you guys locking your spare wheel under the bed so it doesn't get stolen?

Also how about locking the tailgate? Any good options to keep it from being stolen if you accidentally leave it unlocked? An auto-lock function tied to the door locks would sure be nice.

I used a chain and padlock for the tire. The chain was covered to prevent marking the rim and locked to the frame rail. Remember to oil the lock occasionally.
Power locks for the tailgate are around and are fairly easy to wire in.
