I replaced the rear left wheel seal and it is still leaking. So, I am just going to replace the axle, seal and bearing to fix it. My question is where do I get a new axle from, what length is it, and is it 31 spline? Any other pertinent you have would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance for the help. Oh, I forgot to mention it is an 01 job 1 but I am not sure if that will change anything.

You need the 2121L. I posted the 2120R also because that's the part numbers I got from FORD for the right side of my '01. The interchange/specs came from an online source. I do not have the superseded number for the left, sorry. But that answers your questions.

Are you sure you got the right seal ???

did you damage it installing it ??

Does the axle have a grove worn in it ???

Hate to see you just replace parts if not needed

The first time I installed the seal i damaged damaged the seal by trying to drive it in with a socket. I ended up doing it again cause it was leaking worse, and so the second time i bought a seal driver.
