keyless doorlock entry

so i had my keyless entry pad on the drivers door replaced and it lights up but it will not unlock the doors. i had it replaced because my old one stopped working. any ideas? i am putting in the correct code that is located on the truck.

Wiring in the door to the cab maybe. Or the module was your problem.

When I hit the keypad it lights up , as well a the lights in the cab.

The door locks work normally from the switches I assume

Yes everything works perfect side from the code, trust me tje code is correct.

Like Eddie said, the only place you can have an issue is with either the wiring from the keypad to the security module or with the security module itself.

Is the security module under the dash , is that the item that has the code on it.

It depends on if you have a early model 2001 or a late model 2001. it is either in the left rear of the truck or in the top right of the dash.



Has the keypad ever worked since you have had the truck?

Yes the keypad worked, then just out of nowhere it died so I had it replaced. And now the code doesn't work. I isbn putting in the right code.
