I have not had my sport trac long, but would like to "tweek" it a bit.

Is there a list of "must have" upgrades for these ?

If not, What would you suggest.

examples: Cold Air intake, Flowmaster 50 series exhaust, Vent shades, etc

Thanks!

I think most will agree to start with suspension upgrades.

Shocks, rear sway bar, front end links, etc. Tires also, if stock.

A lot of info here. Do some homework and research. GL

When I had my '04, the must-have upgrades were rather simple and cheap:

1. New shocks

2. Cheap electric tailgate lock (see member projects)

3. AVS in-channel vent shades and rear vent shade.

And, you will enjoy them each that valued order (most to least), IMHO.

Sway bars, etc, aren't as important as new shocks in giving you a more sure-footed ride.

Cold air intakes, flow-master, etc, are simply useful if you like nice, cool things to look at under the hood, IMHO. The '04 ST will never be a high performance race car.

In addition to what is stated above, I highly recommend the Explorer Express rear sway bar, and the MOOG Problem Solver line of products expecially the upper & lower control arm bushings. I also highly recommend the SCT XCalibrator tuner.

See my profile for a list of my upgrades.

Thanks guys! That was what I was looking for.

BTW, I did do some research prior to the question, but didn't find any definitive list, other that just a posting here or there about what someone had done and liked.

I know people don't like redundent questions, but that goes with newbies and forums.. it's goin to happen...:driving:
