Hello ST'ers. Well, I'm almost at 1,000 miles. My new 2010 ST Limited is outstanding. Black wasn't my first choice for colors, but because this is the last production year, and supply's are dwindling, I figured I'd take what I can get - as long as it had the other options I was looking for - 4x4, Moonroof, NAV System, Leather, etc., etc. Anyway, the color is growing on me. I like the classy, sleek, stream line appearance it presents. I took it to the car wash yesterday and it came out beautiful. This is my first black vehicle however, anybody have any tried and true ways of keeping it looking show room sharp? Thanks, JimG

there are lots of good "black" waxes out there. Just take a trip to your local auto parts store. I havent tried any yet but some of my friends swear by them. any good 'ol wax should do though as long as you keep up on it

I'm locked in a never ending struggle with my black STA. I would say get a good coat of wax on it, I recommend Meguires NXT Tech 2.0. Then every couple days take 3 or 4 minutes and wipe the truck down with the ultimate quick detailer. Brings back the just waxed look, and the combo of the two lasts about 3 months before you need to re-apply the wax.

When I had a black car, I would use a Car Duster almost every day.

It only takes about a minute once you get a routine down.

black pops the best with high content carnauba wax IMO.

Will not last as long as syns but is to die for, I use pinnicle souverain, pricy but one can is good for 20/30 coats.

Dusters are great, kali duster is okay, OXO duster is the best.

have fun.

Sorry Guys, still on dial-up. Pictures are tough to do. I still would appreciate your thoughts however, instead of those goofy pictures.

Try the different detailing web sites and you'll be overwhelmed at the choices.

Remember....wash, polish, wax..!!
