My horn went out, sort of, it sounds like a civic, or what I imagine a civic would sound like if one beeped at me. I haven't looked yet, think I need a new one? Maybe they have some sort of backup horn that's embarrassing enough that you get the main one fixed.

Figures, it goes out the weekend before my inspection.

Two things. Might be the horn relay is weak. Or it is a connection problem. Try tilting the the steering wheel up. If it works. Then you have the infamous connector problem in the steering column. Also try unpluging and repluging the horns. Might be dirty contacts. Unusual for both horns to go out. So I suspect relay contacts or relay contacts are bad, and not alowing full 12vdc transfer to horns.

Does the ST have two horns?

A lot of cars have two horns, to sound two notes simultaneously. R1ch's description sounds as if one of them still works.

I bet the Low horn took a dump, There are 2 in the ST....

The XLS base model doesn't have a tilting column, or the binding wire issue.
