those are real popular in europe. I am registered on a webste that sends me updates for delivery in the states, forget what it is though. I would like to get one for my daughter...

edit and added link. The price has come down a lot. they start about 12k.

They are really designed for commuting around town, not really for the highway. After dumping 60.00 in the ST to go 300 miles, they are looking better and better.

Any idea which GSXR motor they put in them? I want to say that the 600cc version is approx 100 hp at the rear wheel on the bike version, if they used the 1000cc then they should be up in the 130ish range. Pretty nuts for a car that weighs 400 lbs..

Imagine putting some wide slicks and running it at the track against anything.. no better sleeper.

Gavin-

Does it really matter what vehicle you're in when you get hit by a semi? No, not really. The semi will win every time.

What if your driving a train ???? or another Semi ??? a Tank even???

Hey thats what I drove for 6 weeks in Germany. A big moped w/ wheels. The one I had was a diesel and automatic. It sounds like a moped when it shifts. It tachs high and slowly slips into gear. Other than that it was an ok car. Plenty of room for 2 people. And I am a big guy 6'3" an 265lbs. And out on the highway it was ok at about 60-65 mph beyond that speed I really dont know. You might not want to try to fast on a windy day. But would be a great car for a teenager.

Can we say, modified yugo...Trust me you would not want that thing in Houston,TX traffic. Even if it is fast...

You'd have to drive it like a motorcycle in traffic. I mean with that mentality. Like EVERYONE is possibly going to do something that can hurt you.

Remember, it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you!

Those cars are pretty common around here. You can usually see a half dozen of them any given day.

I wouldn't mind one for a commuter. It would keep me drier than riding my donarcycle all summer.

As for crash safety? I don't think there's much to worry about there. linky --> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ju6t-yyoU8s#
