Front end noise

There's a terrible squeaky sound in the front end of my 03 when I turn the wheels and go over bumps, it's not the shocks as they are new and was doing this prior to. Any ideas and cost to repair???? Thanks.

Are you noticing this when the wheels are turned all the way to the stops are not?

Unfortunately it is somewhat common on the st...



IT could be just 1 ball joint or even the tie rod ends..

What about the sway bar bushings? Worth a try to grease them first.

I notice it especially in the cold, at different ranges of turning.

could be sway bar, are they cheap to replace????? That would be an easy fix.

Mileage does not kill vehicles, time does.



I have 91,000 miles on my Trac and the ball joints are perfect.

The parts are about $30.00 for both lowers.... But a shop will charge you close to $40.00 for each part and about 3-4 hours to install, and they may even try to sell you a wheel alignment with it..



I recommend getting them checked at a shop, let them do a front end suspension check...

Click the wrench besides my name. Ball joints, done by a shop or dealer are ery expensive. Done yourself are relativly cheap.



You can buy a grease needle and grease your joints. That sometimes makes the squeak go away. It will buy you time for better weather.
