Front bumper license plate bracket

My sport trac didnt have this bracket installed. So I purchased it from Ford. I see how it mounts buy how in the world does it screw in :unsure:. The kit came with 2 screws and 2 small long looking plastic pieces. Has anyone installed one of these? I looked under projects but didnt see one for this type of installation.

You have to drill holes into the bumper. The 2 long plastic pieces are what holds it onto the bumper. Then the 2 screws hold the License plate on.

The holes are already there. The holes that I have may be too big for the 2 plasic pieces that came with the bracket.

The clips go in the bumper and then the screw goes in the clips...



IF not, they did not give you the mounting hardware..

When I put my front hitch on I had to remove the front plate holder and have it remounted upside down. The dealer rivited it on for me for FREE!

Parallel parkers broke the stupid plastic thingies on mine. Steel braided cable clamped down to the tow hooks for me.
