Front Brake Pads: 2001 Larger?

Are the front brake pads for the 2001 Sport Trac larger than the later ones?

Will they fit on a 2003?

Is this a good idea?

They are all the same as long as they are for the correct piston material on your truck...

the 2001 came with metal pistons..

I can get metal pistons in my new calipers, right?

Thats the rears, they are different and many places give the wrong items...

So just tell the parts guy I have a 2001 ST and I'll get the metal pistons in the calipers and the right pads?

The '01 front disc pads were narrower than the '03-'05 pads. So, if you put on the '01 calipers with the metal pistons and new pads you'll be fine.

Yes! That is what I did on our '01. The aftermarket pad where larger, and is what I was implying. I should have been more clear on that.
