Going around corners, etc. that involve a weight shift causes my driver's seat to make a cracking or snapping sound. On cursory inspection, nothing seems out of the ordinary and the seat mount bolts are tight. I am of average weight so I don't think it is an overload/overstress issue.

It's a 2005 XLT with power seats.

Doesn't really feel like anything is going to give way, and movement of the seat is minimal. Just a little annoyance and something I don't want to get worse. Are the bushings or glides or anything else under there I should be looking at?

Try lifting the seat slightly up. It will take it off the stop on the tracks and stop the noise..

Mine does that as well. Follow Todds recommendation. Solved my problem. You can take some grease on the tracs but use a non liquid type.

I think they're suggesting something in between... It also wold be good to lubricate the tracks with some light grease.
