Door won't open

The door on my 2002 will open just find for maybe 10 times then the next time you have to jerk on the handle ( on the out side ) or push on it hard from the inside. to get it to open. Then it will open just find for few time then it sticks agin. Any one have any idea what causing this

I want to say there is a linkage rod inside the door that you can adjust to fix this. It attaches the handle to the latch. It could be lose, but I'd bet that the clips attaching the two are worn out or cracked. Somebody with more knowledge'll probably chime in here pretty quick...
