So I'm almost back to normal, other than having way too much to do all the time. I still have one more surgery, but I'm trying to put it off as long as possible. I got a new house, and moved, and am still struggling to unpack in the 10 minutes of free time I have per week.
Saturday, my dad asked to borrow my truck. Ordinarily, NOBODY can drive my truck but me, but I figured since he was trading me his '09 SL63 AMG for it for the day, why not?
Yeah, so... He was trying to do something nice for me. I had these two horrible ugly-ass giant bushes on either side of my front door. He decided to go to my house and attempt to remove them...

He tied one end around the bottom of the bush (comfortable in it's place for 13 years), and hooked the other end to my hitch. Apparently, when he went to try to pull it out slowly, it held the truck in place, as can be evidenced by the tire dust in my driveway. Soooooooooo... He decided to back up 8 or 10 feet and floor it.

Physics is a bitch. Isaac Newton knew this would happen. My dad didn't.
New tailgate will be ready either Thursday or Friday, and State Farm needs to add "lack of common sense" coverage to my policy.
And yes, the "earring" is the hook from the end of the strap.
