Does anyone have the new Directv box that records 5 channels at once? Thinking about switching to Directv from Cox once again and am wondering about this box.

5 channels at once!?! Wow! I think I'm due for an upgrade! I'm assuming you must have a SWM set up for this. (single wire multi-switch).

I think you are thinking aout Dish and it's 6 shows at once with their Hopper/Joey whole house DVR.

Sounds like both companies have something similar...now you can expand your horizons.

DirecTv started the promo for that free upgrade a few months after I switched to them. I've been pretty happy with the signals, only a couple of times that heavy snow or thunderstorms disrupted the signal in the last 16/18 months. Let me know if you do go with DirecTV and I can get you my account info as a referral so you and I both can get the $100 bill credit ($10 for 10 months).
