Determining code P0401

From what I have been reading either it is the EGR or DPFE sensor. I tried the EGR test. I removed the rubber elbow and stuck a rubber hose over the egr and sucked. My truck was going to stall. I did this several times and had the same result. So now I am thinking it is my DPFE sensor, right? Is there anyway to test it?

Just replace the DPFE...

Easiest 2 minutes of your life..... just do it.

Yup took all of 2 minutes. While I was at it I replaced the entire infamous elbow assembly and pvc vavle. My truck idles alot smoother now!
