I have some maintenance to do. every time i go over a speed bump here in school, or even when im driving and hit the slightest bump, i here a "creaking" noise coming from my front left wheel. it sounds like something is straining or i guess worn out. are these the control arms? im not too wise when it comes to that stuff . if so, is this an expensive repair? and if i dont fix soon what can happen?

Could be the sway bar or balljoints......

I hear that creaking too man...sometimes.

Just spray the swaybar backets and the endlinks with some grease. It should put that annoying creaking away for a while. I used WD40 sometime late winter last year and haven't heard a peep out of it since.

Just try that before you go replacing everything.

-2nd what Todd Z and Shaun t said,

when my sway bar bushing needs grease (like right now) it makes a eeewaa sound going over bumps and when the ball joints where bad it would make a popping sound when parking...

It also could be a warn out shock absorber.

-I also do not believe any of these are life threatening just a nusiense...

just make note of it if it gets worse.
