computer stuck

Aloha guys,

I don't like to go off topic a lot but you all seem computer savey. This HP laptop won't start windows. It starts with a thing called "privacy tools". These tools seem out of date and won't do anything unless I pay them $79. The program won't close and task manager won't end it. Any ideas? tks Ed

Can you boot up in safe mode and once in windows uninstall "privacy tools"?

thanks Coastiejoe, I downloaded the fix but it didn't clear the problem. 'sent them and e mail. Hope they can send a fix.

Olaf W even in safe mode, the spyware blocke windows.

you can try the free version of Malware Bytes - anti-malware program.

for free you have to manually update and run scans.

it has done a good job for me getting rid of malware like your privacy tools

Every major anti-virus company give 15 to 30 day free trials.



Download one and use it. If it works and you are truly happy, buy it after the trial. If not, let it lapse..
