Check engine light has come on my 02 4x4 sport trac. The code reads PO733 What code is this .

A while back this is the message I posted . I was told it was possible tramission problem.

I told the mechinic , he said it could be fuel problems or tramission. He put a new fuel fliter on the pickup and and cleared the check engine light. The light stayed off for a couple hundred miles . It came on the other day. He put the computer back on the pickup . It now shows lean on both sides He saids the computer shows nothing on the tramission this time. ( he said possible fuel pump or air intake ) any body have any other ideas

Transmission problem. You OD light should have been blinking. If not that is the wrong code.

I looked the p0733 up under generic obd2,(Gear 3 Ratio Incorrect).

Ford has no specific code.

Check your code again.
