Clicking while in reverse

Hey all,



02 sport trac. 100k on the clock. When I put the truck in reverse a clicking noise can be heard as I back up. Put the truck in drive and the noise goes away. Any idea on what could be causing this? I did a search and to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

Might be your brake pads. Try draging your foot on the brakes gently and see if it stops. If not, maybe U-joint or differential.
