Tired of the cheap plastic tree stand, I pulled out the welder and made a replacement. Actually I made a couple replacements, hopefully they'll sell on ebay and I'll have money for a christmas present for the 'trac this christmas! This one is strong enough to hold up the front end of my sport trac, as shown in the pictures.

It's a little early, but I think the 'trac may be asking Santa for swaybars front and rear.

on ebay its item: 230193934379

why is my link not working? I have no idea why it doesn't work. Any clues?

If anybody wants one just let me know!

Looks kinda cool.. Only made for the front end? Also, the linky, no worky. I got: The eBay page or feature you are attempting to access is not responding

The link is simply too long for the server.....

Most of the Ebay links are....

Sorry....

Simple solution. Use the eBay short URL (in link below). This is the URL format eBay used before they went all complicated. Though they don't keep them this simple now, the old format still functions.

Yeah, maybe that will be a feature on next year's model! Seriously I wasn't sure it was going to be up to the task of all that weight. I very carefully lowered the jack, but it didnt' budge at all. The next time I did it (I had to get more pictures of this, this was fun!) I just let the jack drop fast, and the trac kinda hit the jack hard and rocked a bit. Once again no movement what so ever from the stand. Lovin' it! Now I've just got to sell a few of them to make it worth the effort to make them.

You really should make a disclamer that it is not to be used as a jack stand. That picture was only taken to show how strong it is and is only for a tree stand and nothing else.

Hey everyone, I threw a xmas tree stand on ebay, it's closing this morning with only 1 bidder at $1. I'd rather sell to someone who at least appreciate the effort that went into it and the picture of the sport trac on it!

It's item number 230195678211

I've re-designed it for a lower profile. It's now able to accept over 135 pounds of weight on it to dog and cat-proof the christmas tree. Great gift for that animal lover in your life. I don't think this version will be able to support my sport trac, but I may try it if I sell a few. If so, I'll keep you posted. Proceeds will be used to buy swaybars for my sporttrac. Thanks for looking!
