Anyone interested in the world's greatest board game? (100% Skill)

Play a leisurely game on line, up to 14 days per move.

It's free for all skill levels. C'mon gang, nothing to lose.

Tom- Chess.com is one of the best online chess sites, of many.

Excellent for all skill levels, including beginners. Play against the computer

or live players, from all over the world. I encourage you to learn, you won't regret it.

Good Luck.

I once heard that there are more permutations of the possible moves in chess there there are atoms in the known visible universe...

atoms in universe: ~10^77

possible moves in chess: ~10^120

The exact number possible moves or "legal events" in chess has never been calculated only approximated...

Just thought that was an interesting fact.

IBM's "Deep Blue" computer was capable of evaluating 200 million chess positions per second.

In 1997 the computer defeated world champion Gary Kasparov, in controversy.

Many chess experts considered the loss, "a sad day for the human race".

Tom,,Im with you. I like checkers. I never could catch on and get my head into chess. Im amazed to watch some players. When they play a fast game, though.

Chess isn't hard to learn. Much more fun than checkers, IMHO.

For those that don't know how to play, I suggest you add learning chess to your bucket list.
