Your ST might be effected. My 04 Adrenalin was. I was having the CC light Flash when I tried to engage it. When I took to Ford, they tried to say b/c of my oversize tires (265/75R16). I ended up telling them it was a problem on older ones, that there was a recall. So mine might be affected. They then changed the old one out, and put in a new one, and the problem was fixed.

I didn't a letter.

CHRIS,

If you look under the hood, there is a plug going to the master cylinder.

What color is it?

Now here's my pickle....We installed the OEM CC in my 02, so my truck won't be included in the recall. So, what do I do? Will FORD sell me the parts needed to fix the problem or will they tell me that they can't sell me the parts and instist on replacing the parts themselves for $90/hour?

When we asked them what it would cost for them to install the CC orginially, they told us that they couldn't do it because they were not allowed to change the original configuration of the truck.

Personally, I'd like to buy the part and fix it ourselves. I really don't care if that keeps from suing Ford if my truck catches fire anyway. Guess I need to look and see what color the switch is before I worry about this too much.

Hello everyone, I've just been lurking for quite some time and still enjoy reading all (well most) the post. Jeanie's Trac has 150222 miles and now we have our FIRST problem (not w/the Trac) and that is with the cruise control. We got a letter from Ford and had it disconnected a looooong time ago, the local dealers tell us the parts are NOT:angry: available yet, ? whats up with that. I've read where some say you can buy them, if so why can't my dealer get us one.

BTW The cruise control still worked w/no problem when it was disconnected.

Thanks

Howard
