Camping Tent for bed of truck?

Anybody have or ever see one of those truck tents that fit in the back of the Sport Trac.



I would like to buy one for some road trips but not sure if they work?

I have seen those arounds as well. You probably should get an air mattress or something im sure the floor of the ST bed is really uncomfortable!

I think I'd be too tall unless the tent hangs way off the back. Also you'd have to disconnect it if you need to leave the campsite for anything, like, oh, more beer.

Shopping for Father's Day, the Sportz tent web site gave the impression that it was discontinuing the Sport Trac model. Only $50 , but no warranty. :unsure:

I checked a couple of other websites. The Ranger one is too long. You need this one: Ford Explorer Sport Trac (Model # 66000):50.0", but one of the sites I found stated the manufacturer discontinued the size. Maybe a phone call to the company can provide a better answer. The prices are quite high for these. I think I would just buy a very nice stand-alone tent.

Napier apparently only sells to dealers. The $49.95 price is the dealer price I guess. I looked up several dealers, Bass Pro Shops, JC Whitney Etc.. and they dont list the model 66000 for the ST. I'd be willing to lay out $50.00 even without a warranty.
