Buy rebuilt or have rebuilt?

My tranny is starting to go. It has 115,000 miles on it.



I am faced with 2 options. 1 is to buy a factory rebuilt tranny. The local tranny place will just pop the old one off and put the new one on. That would cost about between $2300 - $2800. The warranty would be either a 2 or 3 year warranty.



Or i could have a different shop rebuild my current one and it would come in between $1600 - $1900 with a one year warranty.



What would you do?

Ebay has the tranny completely rebuilt for 700 bucks or so with a 12/12 warranty..

Labor to r/r should not be much more than another 7-8 hundred bucks..

Thanks for the input. BTW, where did you get your tranny pan? Does it have a larger capacity than the stock ones?

No sweat.. I linked my previous post with the ebay auction... I have never delt with them, but seems like a great deal...

That is a PML tranny pan.. On my 4wd it gave me almost 4 more qts..

On the 2wd it will add about 2 qts...
