I have a 2004 xlt the piece on the right side of steering wheel broke. The cruise still works but need to hold piece and push forward to engage cruise. How much trouble to replace this? and where might I find one? Thanks

Be sure to disconect the battery and drain residual power. Then no air bag blow up.

Replaceded mine last year, '04 xlt. Comes with both sides an a ribbon wire. Take a pic or look at the old wiring real well. My new motorcraft replacement had heavier wire. somewhat harder to route the wire ribbon. The horn contacts have to be removed also. If your handy, not hard though.

Odd thing about mine was the switch on the brake master cylinder failed also. So I thought I got a bad swicth pak. Coincidence though, my steering wheel switches were crumbling.
