Got a 2001, had it since 2003. oh, yeah 201,220 miles
so now I'm on my second set of rear brake shoes (brake drums). the front brake pads (disc) have been replaced probably four times (always DIY).
Prior I had a Ford Ranger, similiar set up, front disc, rear drum. On that truck the wear on front on rear brake surfaces was somewhat similar.
So for you guys with the rear disc brakes, do you replace the front pads more often than the rear pads??? Do rear pads outlast front pads three to one???
Just an inquiry. Replacing the rear shoes is soooo toouugghh. Maybe swapping in a disc brake on the back axle is worthy. Let me know.
thanks for all the help in the past.
the ST is very strong 200,000 + and it is my daily driver.
thanks for the input
