I took the brake calipers off and now I noticed that the two slide pins/bolts are different. Witch goes on the bottown and witch goes on the top? One has a plastic piece to it and the other one is solid metal. please help the trac is on jack stands

Thank you

I have no idea what you are talking about. I remember both pins being the same with the same bolys. Did you pull both sides off at the same time?

Yes I pulled the first side off cleaned it and figured I would pull the second one off while the first one dried. dumb idea. notice how the bottom one has plastic toward the end, maybe it doen't matter?

Thanks anyway maybe someone with shime in with the right answer.

Do you know of any website with schematic drawings that maybe I could tell the difference from?

The rubber one goes on TOP on both calipers.....

That was Fords answer to sticking caliper bolts.....

What a waste, the rubber expands and jams it any way.....

I replaced mine with 4 new ones and guess what, no stupid rubber..

I don't think so.....

If you lubed them properly it shouldn't matter....

Both pins are the same size, length and thread....

The rubber was only for the sticking part nothing else....
