Beltminder = crap!!

I wear my seat belt religously but the chime is aggravating when I leave the truck running while loading and unloading my boat. I've tried several times to disable the "Beltminder" on my '05. The instructions in my manual say that the airbag light will come on after buckling and un-buckling the belt 9 times. Airbag light only comes on when key is initially turned to the on position. Any suggestions? ( besides turning the truck off)

YES! Thank you I was going to post on this too! I have turned my beltminder off several times now and sure enough a couple days later, usually when i check the mail, the thing starts dinging again. Any way to "disconnect" or something?

It is a funky procedure IT takes a couple of times to get it right......

No ive done it, tested it, and surely turned it off. but a couple days later it comes back! :angry:

On mine (05), once you buckle-unbuckle, it doesn't chime any longer...
