Battery / charge gage

I just noticed on a short trip my battery gage is right at the bottom normal hash mark. I thought it was normally in the middle of the normal hash marks. Anyone know what theirs is normally at when engine is running? 03 St

Stop in at Sears or Interstate Battery and ask them to run a battery check.

Was not the battery. Put a tester on and it was the alternator. No charge. Put in new alt nd good to go.
