I did it with boats.



We got close,,, and I do mean CLOSE to the water surface. Tossed out a drag-chute which basically pulled the boat out. They hit the water and skipped along pretty good. One got damaged but was still usable.

I have done that in 'NAM. Flying on our black C-130's. Dumping Top Secret equipment in the ocean. No parachute needed,,LOL.....
