airbag light

I've been noticing that on really cold mornings when I start my truck my airbag light comes on and stays on. If i restart the truck it will SOMETIMES go off. But like I said it ONLY happens when its cold out. Any ideas what might be causing this, and does this mean my airbag won't work if the light is on?

It means your battery is weak and when it's cold and you crank it, usually the first time of the day, the system voltage drops and causes the light to come on without flashing any codes. If it's flashing a code then going solid then that's another matter.

When ours did that, it didnt start again. A new battery for sure~

Our tracs have a funny habit of electrical gremlins, with weak batteries. Even if it turns over and starts the motor.
