ABS light is on & 4wd won't engage

Hey guys, I am having some issues with my '01 Explorer Sport Trac 4x4. Last week I noticed that he ABS light came on and wouldn't turn off. I set up an appointment to take my ST in tomorrow, but today we are getting hammered with snow, and my 4WD will not engage.



Is there any way that these two issues are related? Does the ABS sensor disengage 4WD when triggered?

Went thru this with my 01 last week.I removed the connections on both the module inside the cab and on the 4wd motor on the transfer case and cleaned and repluged them and they lit right up! As for the ABS I found my 3rd brake light to be burnt out and believe it or not this WILL trip and ABS light. This is where I would start cuz it starts to get costly after these simple tries! ABS may be trash from snow and Ice build up in tone rings.
