I'm having an issue with the A/C Compressor. I went to defrost it today and I began to get a metallic burning order. So I pulled over a noticed the compressor was not turning. I turned on the A/C and still nothing. The clutch does spin when using your hand. When I engaged A/C the air did not get cold. Temps here are 10 degrees.

It's been a few weeks. Usually use it to defrost. So I engaged it this am and it turned on very quickly and off just as fast. Probably a leak in the system.

It probably will not run at ten degrees anyway because of the low pressure switch in the system protects the compressor from burning up. If it did run, it wouldn't help anything anyway, because the pressure of the refrigerant would be too low to flow and remove any heat anyway.

Wait until a 60-degree day or higher and see if it works. I bet it will.
