What should be done on a 2004 XLT Premium 4X4 Sport Trac for its 45,000 miles service? The service manual is a bit unclear.

Oil change, tire rotation, check the brakes unless you have state inspection where you live and they check them anyway.

I would change the fuel and air filters, flush the transmission, and change the transfer case lube if it's a 4x4. All things that should be done at 30k if you haven't already. Also I would change the coolant if if hasn't been done yet. Gen 1's do not have the extended life coolant and although you do not have a lot of miles on it, time takes it's toll on coolant too.

Thank you, My service manual seemed to be more general for all of Ford's Trucks and SUVs, so I wanted something more clear for the Sport Track. :supercool:
