3rd brake light on topper, where to hook up?

Can anyone tell me where I should hook up the brake light wires for my topper to? The trailer harness obviously has a L turn & R turn that both power for the brake too. If I hook to either one of those then I will have it flashing one way or the other.



Is there a dedicated wire for solid 12V when braking at the rear of the vehicle, or, do I need to tie it in to the 3rd brake light on the back of the cab?

Under the truck between the bumper and spare tire there are 2 wires that say CHMSL or something like that. they are cut or taped..... Thats what you use !

Mine had a "splitter" plug set-up that just plugged into the drivers rear tailight harness. Simple.
