2003 12v Constant Wire

I am installing a PIE FRDN-AUX/S and it requires me to attach a wire to a constant +12 volt source......what color is that wire in the dash? I looked at the project ( http://www.mysporttrac.com/MySportTrac/projects/AuxiliaryInput.pdf ) and that is what i have but cant find the wire....his is a little different then mine....thanks in advance....its a 2003 Sport trac...

A simplier solution may be to thread the wire through the firewall and connect it to one of the posts, next to the fuse box, inside the engine bay. If you check out Rich Stern's project on installing lighting (PIAA 40 installation) it shows you exactly how this can be done. Good Luck...

Behind the fuse panel on the side of the dash is a bunch of constant hots.... Take a test light and poke around, easiest way...



I Bet stonemeiser knows, he installs alarms...

shouldnt the wire connected to the cig lighter also be a +12 volt constant source?
