08 STA Fog Lights

Any suggestions for what to do about replacing my STA fog lights?

I replaced the headlights with Silverstars and I have no idea what to do about replacing the (apparently abnormal) fog lights.

The numbers on the bulbs are:

PS24WFF

7L06HG

I've been to every Autozone, O'reilly, Car Quest, Advanced Auto, Napa, etc.

Everyone I've talked to has never seen anything like it.

I've also checked all over the net.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO!

I ran across teh same problem...luckily the fog lights are the same color as the Silverstars!



I do not know what replacement bulb is even out there!?

Nocturnal: I agree the color is VERY similar, but not perfect. . . maybe I'm just being too picky. At the time, the Silverstar Ultras were not available, but there was word that they were supposed to come out. Which do you have?

The only info I have found so far on the web referenced the 07 Tahoe, as do the links you provided.

Have you tried a set yourself?

I may just go ahead and order a set to see if they work. . . .

The info on the Tahoe page is about retrofitting different bulbs in nearly the same mousing we have. Just threw that in there for FYI.

KPC- I too was looking to upgrade my fog lights to silverstars and read your thread. The bulb information in our manual is wrong. I e-mailed sylvania for a possible silverstar replacement and this is what they had to say -

Good Morning Adrian,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your inquiry. I

believe this is industry standard part number 5202. OSRAM Sylvania does

not make an equivalent to this part; I believe it is currently only

being produced by Philips. You will need to contact Philips or Ford

parts and service to find out information on possible upgrades.

Adrian: Thanks for the info. I may end up contacting Philips or Ford for a replacement, but after doing a little searching, I came across these. I'd have to of course replace the entire fog light assembly, but it looks like if you request it, they come with a multi-color halo light option . . . It may not be a perfect fit, but with a little mod I'm sure there is a way to make it work . . . worse case, for $60+, its not too much money down the drain . . .
